Inside Ethical Voice Cloning: Consent, Review, and Revocation

Voice cloning is the most powerful — and most regulated — feature in AI audio. Here is exactly how we keep it safe.

Every clone on VoiceLuma requires documented consent from the person being cloned. During the wizard, the speaker records a consent statement, confirms their relationship to the account owner, and states the intended use. We retain these records and make them reviewable.

Clones are private to the owner until they pass review, and any clone can be revoked at any time. Revocation immediately disables the voice and deletes its provider-side model.

For publishers, we surface clone badges in the library and support origin disclosure in exports, because labeling AI audio is quickly becoming a legal requirement in many markets.

Used responsibly, cloning is transformative: audiobook authors narrate their own books, small teams localize content in the founder's voice, and families preserve the voices of loved ones. Consent is what makes all of it possible.
